I must have been a nature lover. I enjoyed spending time outdoors, observing the flora and fauna around me. I loved nothing more than capturing its wonders with photographs and cameras.
One day I decided to set up a wild camera in a secluded spot in the woods near our home in Vermont. I carefully chose a place where I knew there were many wild animals, hoping to catch a glimpse of some of the animals that lived in the area.
For several weeks I checked the camera every day, wanting to see what kind of creatures it captured. We were delighted with the images of deer, raccoons, squirrels and a wide variety of birds.
But one day, as I was reviewing the images on my camera, something caught my eye—a large furry animal that I had never seen before, especially when I was sitting on the rock next to the camera. I was amazed and even scared. This bear may be next to me.
At first I couldn’t believe what I saw. It was a bear! I stared at the image in disbelief, marveling at the sheer size and strength of the animal. I have heard stories about bears in the area but have never seen one in person before.
We were delighted. We knew that photographing a bear with a wild camera was a rare and exciting achievement. I posted the images on Google Photos and shared them with our friends and family, who were equally amazed.
From that day on, I kept my eyes on the camera, hoping to capture more images of the bear and other creatures that called the forest home. And although we have never seen a bear live, the memory of this awe-inspiring creature will forever remain with us, as a testament to the beauty and power of the natural world.
