Once upon a time there was a Semichev family. For some time they lived in a cozy house in Vermont, surrounded by trees and forests. Although they loved their home and the old fireplace, they always felt that something was missing – a modern and more efficient fireplace to heat the whole house with wood.
One day they decided it was time to make their dream a reality. They began researching different types of fireplaces and soon settled on a fireplace insert that they thought would be the perfect addition to our home.
They knew that installing a fireplace insert was a big project, but they decided to do it themselves. They carefully read the installation instructions and collected all the necessary tools and materials, including the fireplace insert itself, the chimney liner, insulation and refractory bricks.
The first step was to remove the old, unused fireplace that was already in their living room. It was a big job as we needed to carefully remove the old brickwork and mortar without damaging the surrounding walls and floors. But through patience and perseverance, we eventually succeeded.
We installed a chimney that would carry the smoke and gases out of the house. It required careful measurement and precise cutting, but Alex knew how to do it.
This was followed by insulation, which will help keep the house safe and warm. We carefully filled the space around the chimney lining with insulation, carefully sealing all cracks and crevices.
Finally, it’s time to install the fireplace insert itself. This was the most exciting part since the new fireplace was so heavy and we needed to do it with our tractor.
When We finished, We stepped back and marveled at their creation. The fireplace insert was beautiful, with a glass door and with a warm and inviting glow that filled our living room. That same night we gathered around him, basking in his warmth and feeling grateful for the hard work that made all of this possible.
From this day on, the Semichevs will always cherish their fireplace insert, not only for the warmth and comfort it provided, but also for the memory of their hard work and determination that went into installing it.
